Jesus became sin for us, who was the sinner who deserved to die, so that way we could live in Christ with God. 1 Peter 3:18 says it this way:(CSB) 18 For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God. He was put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
Why would Jesus die for us? So that way we could be the righteousness of God! You and me? Yes you and me became children of God. As we seek after God we become someone he wants to brag about. Consider Job 1:8 (CSB) 8 Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? No one else on earth is like him, a man of perfect integrity, who fears God and turns away from evil."
I think God wants to say that of us! We may never face the same difficulties that Job did but we shall be expecting some persecution as Children of God (Matthew 10:17-42). But God will take care of His children (Psalm 37).
