Galatians 2:21 (CSB) 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.

Grace and obedience are two objects on a seesaw. If we only rely on grace we can get trapped in "I can do anything I want because God's grace covers all my sins". If we only rely on obedience we can get trapped into having to do everything in order to be justified. However if we keep the seesaw balanced grace covers those things that we have not yet submitted to God and yet are obedient to the things which God has shown us to be obedient to then we are in God's Love. Paul saw God's grace to do two things in Ephesians 3:7-9.
  1. Proclaim Jesus to the world
  2. Explain God to everyone
God gives is the same tasks and his grace helps in our weakness.

1 Peter 4:10 (CSB)
Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God.

James 4:6 (CSB)
But he gives greater grace. Therefore he says: God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

( 2 Corinthians 12:9, Romans 8:26, Deuteronomy 29:29)
