1 John 1:5 (CSB) This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light, and there is absolutely no darkness in him.
God is light! Three types of light: sunlight, flashlight, and candlelight. The members of The Trinity: The Father Yahweh, The Son Jesus, The Holy Spirit. In Genesis 1 God creates the light on day one. This is The Father acting as sunlight. Jesus said if I be lifted up I will draw all men to me (John 12:32). This is Jesus acting like a candlelight. The Holy Spirit shines His light into areas of our life that need fixing (2 Corinthians 4:6). This is the Holy Spirit acting like a flashlight. The only other player in this heavenly light show is the devil. He is darkness. He is always trying to weaken the impact of God's light. He wants the world to stay in darkness (Ephesians 6:12).

But when I hoped for good, evil came; when I looked for light, darkness came.
