1 John 1:7 (CSB) If we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
What an awesome example we have in Jesus. Jesus life here on earth was recorded as our example. His position in heaven is also an example for us to follow. For He is seated at the right hand of God in close fellowship with God. And as close Jesus is in this fellowship with the father so shall we be in close fellowship with God. God wants us there. He does not make it hard for us but He does require everything from us. He requires our time, our strength, our attention, our devotion. Paul tells us in Romans 12:1-2 (CSB) 1 Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
When we are in close fellowship with the father the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all our sins. The blood of Jesus does not just cover our sins, but cleanses us. We come to Jesus stained with all kinds of evil colors. Then the red blood of Jesus washes, cleanses, and purifies us into a holy white color. If we are wondering if we are cleansed as we should be maybe it is time we repent and confess our sins to God. This should be happening daily not just at church on Sunday and most certainly more often then once at the time we became a Christ follower. (1 John 1:9)
