Matthew 28:19 (CSB) "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Of the gospels this one is the most well known commission.
1⃣ Go make disciples.
2⃣ Go preach the Gospel (Mark 16:15)
3⃣ Proclaim repentance for the forgiveness of sins (Luke 24:47)
4⃣ As God has sent me so I am sending you (John 20:21)
5⃣ You will be my witnesses (Acts 1:8)
None of theses commissions can be done in our own power but by the power of the Holy Spirt that is why all 5 include the Holy Spirit. John tells us to receive the Holy Spirit. Luke and Acts tell us that the Holy Spirit will give us power. Mark tells us some of the power the Holy Spirit gives us. Matthew tells us to Baptize in the name of the Holy Spirit. If we don't want the Holy Spirit then we will be living as orphans because that is why Jesus sent the Holy Spirit (John 14:16-18).
Mark 16:15-18(CSB) 15 Then he said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 "And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 "they will pick up snakes; if they should drink anything deadly, it will not harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well."
Luke 24:46-49 (CSB) 46 He also said to them, "This is what is written: The Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead the third day, 47 "and repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 "You are witnesses of these things. 49 "And look, I am sending you what my Father promised. As for you, stay in the city until you are empowered from on high."
John 20:21-23 (CSB) 21 Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you." 22 After saying this, he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 "If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."
Acts 1:8 (CSB) "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
