Isaiah 53:10 (CSB) 10 Yet the LORD was pleased to crush him severely. When you make him a guilt offering, he will see his seed, he will prolong his days, and by his hand, the LORD's pleasure will be accomplished.
God was happy, glad, to crucify Jesus, why? Jesus restored fellowship with God!
Genesis 3:8,15 (CSB) Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden at the time of the evening breeze, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 15 I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.
Isaiah 59:2,17 (CSB) But your iniquities are separating you from your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not listen. 17 He put on righteousness as body armor, and a helmet of salvation on his head; he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and he wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak.
Because our fellowship is restored The Holy Spirit has been given to us to live with us and help us.
Numbers 11:27-29 (CSB) 27 A young man ran and reported to Moses, "Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp." 28 Joshua son of Nun, assistant to Moses since his youth, responded, "Moses, my lord, stop them! " 29 But Moses asked him, "Are you jealous on my account? If only all the LORD's people were prophets and the LORD would place his Spirit on them! "
For the most part The Holy Spirit during the Old Testament dwelt with a few people for short periods of time. But now we have The Holy Spirit of God with us wherever we go, whatever we do and whatever we say.
Through Jesus' death we are able to come boldly into the holy of holies to seek The Lord in prayer and fellowship. We can have the confidence that whatever we ask we have according to his will.
John 15:7 (CSB) "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you.
Hebrews 10:19-23 (CSB)
19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have boldness to enter the sanctuary through the blood of Jesus -- 20 he has inaugurated for us a new and living way through the curtain (that is, through his flesh) -- 21 and since we have a great high priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water. 23 Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, since he who promised is faithful.
