Isaiah 53:8 (CSB) 8 He was taken away because of oppression and judgment; and who considered his fate? For he was cut off from the land of the living; he was struck because of His people's rebellion.

Jesus had to die first for the sins of all people in all time of the world. But I see three more reasons in this verses why Jesus had to die. First for the oppression of His people. The oppression of the Jews had reached the ears of God and he sent Moses to them to deliver them out of the oppression. And now Jesus has delivered us out of the oppression of satin.

Second I see Jesus died for judgement. Before Jesus we were under the judgment of death. But now those who are in Christ are under the grace of God and are no longer condemned. We do not use this grace to sin but to love God because He does not judge us for the sins that are under the blood.

Third reason why Jesus had to die was because of His Peoples rebellion. His people at the time of Isaiah was, and still is, the Jews. Because the Jews had rebelled against God, the Gentiles got to hear the Gospel of Jesus and get grafted into the vine of Jesus. Rebellion of everyone is sin. But without the Jews rebellion against Jesus in the early months and years of Christianity the old testament prophesies of Hosea 4:6, and Isaiah 49:6 would not be fulfilled.

Hosea 4:6 (CSB) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will reject you from serving as my priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your sons.

Isaiah 49:6 (CSB) he says, "It is not enough for you to be my servant raising up the tribes of Jacob and restoring the protected ones of Israel. I will also make you a light for the nations, to be my salvation to the ends of the earth."
