Isaiah 53:9 (CSB) 9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, but he was with a rich man at his death, because he had done no violence and had not spoken deceitfully.

Jesus was crucified between two thieves (Matthew 27:38, Mark 15:27, Luke 23:32, John 19:18) and was buried in a borrowed tomb that Joseph of Arimathea had cut for himself (Matthew 27:57-60, Mark 15:43-46, Luke 22:50-53, and John 19:38-42). All because He was a righteous man who upset the local religious leaders. He had done nothing wrong. He was spotless, blameless, and holy before God. But was a "problem" to the Jewish Pharisees, who had God all planed out and knew too much about the messiah to see that He was there for their sins. But they did not know any better for they were listening to their father the devil and not to God the Father.

John 8:44 (CSB)
"You are of your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

In the end they may have died in their sins and Jesus is alive to forgive sins. Who are we listening to? Are we spending time with Jesus as often as possible or are we busy chasing the world's entertainment, life, and riches, when what we only need is the bread, life, water, and light of Jesus.

John 6:35 (CSB)
"I am the bread of life," Jesus told them. "No one who comes to me will ever be hungry, and no one who believes in me will ever be thirsty again.

John 8:12 (CSB)
Jesus spoke to them again: "I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life."

John 14:6 (CSB)
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 4:14 (CSB) "But whoever drinks from the water that I will give him will never get thirsty again. In fact, the water I will give him will become a well of water springing up in him for eternal life."
