Romans 6:19 (CSB) I am using a human analogy because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you offered the parts of yourselves as slaves to impurity, and to greater and greater lawlessness, so now offer them as slaves to righteousness, which results in sanctification.
How can we transfer what we do from sin into righteousness? There was a time when i used the internet for only sin, but I am learning to use it more and more for God. I know Paul is talking about Holy righteous living in the body but I also think that he is talking about what we do. He had to transfer his zeal against followers of The Way to following The Way. We are not to justify our actions that are sin as not being sin. What is sin is sin and will always be sin. However we are to use the passion and zeal we had for sin to give greater honor to God. When we use our passion for sin it grows into something that it was not when it seemed innocent. When we use our zeal for God it grows in us to produce more and more righteousness, faith, and boldness. Which then will produce sanctification, being set apart for God's Holy use.
Galatians 5:19-24 (CSB) 19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I am warning you about these things -- as I warned you before -- that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. The law is not against such things. 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
