Romans 6:21 (CSB) So what fruit was produced then from the things you are now ashamed of? The outcome of those things is death.
If our obedience is to one kingdom to another (vs 16) then what fruit does our actions bring? Actions with the world produces a short term pleasure but long term regret. Actions in the kingdom of God can product short term hurt, but always very long term blessings. Sin produces shame! But the Word of God produces Fruit!
Isaiah 55:8-12 (CSB) 8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways." This is the LORD's declaration. 9 "For as heaven is higher than earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 "For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return there without saturating the earth and making it germinate and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat, 11 "so my word that comes from my mouth will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do." 12 You will indeed go out with joy and be peacefully guided; the mountains and the hills will break into singing before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
God’s Word has a purpose in our lives, in our speech, will we let it do it’s work and submit to the one who sent it. It will accomplish the fruit God wants it to produce. One fruit is faith.
Romans 10:17 (NASB) So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
If you need more faith continue to listen to the words of Jesus.
Besides shame, actions with the world produces, sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar (Galatians 5:19-21). Yes these actions are sin, but sin also grows we many see that one of these actions are innocent and then after a few years we will begin to do another one of these actions before long we are in farther than we ever expected to be. So these actions produces more of these actions therefor the second action is the fruit of the first.
Actions with The Kingdom of God may produce persecution which is not pleasant at the time but will produce fruit in our live like: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). The more we experience Love from God that should grow into Peace and into Kindness for example. The more we allow these into our lives the more they will grow into other fruits.
Sin produces shame!
The Bible produces fruit!
