Romans 6:22 (CSB) But now, since you have been set free from sin and have become enslaved to God, you have your fruit, which results in sanctification -- and the outcome is eternal life!

We who are in Christ have been set free from the kingdom of this world and have been enlisted in the army of God. We are not to use our army status to wage war against the people who are enslaved by the devil, but to wage war against him. We are to help set free his captives and help them to pursue God, help them to take up the sword of the spirit which is the Words of God, and to seek after Jesus. We can only do this if by the help of the Holy Spirit. We cannot do this on our own but God promises to hold on to us (John 10:28-29), Jesus promises to be with us (Matthew 28:18-20) and the Holy Spirit promises to give us the words to speak (Matthew 10:19-20) and to call back to memory the Words of the Bible we have read (John 14:26). We are not to be entangled with the world, sin, or the devil. We get entangled with the world in three ways: lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of what we have (1 John 2:15-16).Entanglement with the world can be summed up in one word: Lust. Enlistment with God can be summed up in one word: Love. When we lust after stuff we only seek our own desires. When we love the people in both kingdoms we put their well being in front of our wants. We are still to take care of our bodies and love our bodies. Then after we have taken care of our bodies we are to care for the hurting, lame, widowed, the captive, the orphans to show them Jesus. We must seek God daily through prayer and The Word of God to take care of our bodies. Then we must seek to help those who need Jesus in both kingdoms.

Galatians 6:10 (CSB) Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.
