All Saints Day!
Today is all saint’s day. A day when we reflect on the saints that have gone before us. The world celebrated holloweeen yesterday. It was started as All Hallow’s Eve. The world uses it to celebrate evil and death. So today I wanted to remind us of today. The Catholic Church celebrates all the saints that are known and unknown that have gone before us into Heaven. Some have been martyred and others have live the christian life to the fullest. The first Martyr was Stephen in Acts 7. Today many christians around the world face percussion because of the name of Jesus.
Revelation 6:9 (CSB) When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slaughtered because of the word of God and the testimony they had given.
But then also the church that is alive now is referred to as saints.
Revelation 13:10 (CSB)
If anyone is to be taken captive, into captivity he goes. If anyone is to be killed with a sword, with a sword he will be killed. This calls for endurance and faithfulness from the saints.
Revelation 14:12 (CSB)
"This calls for endurance from the saints, who keep God's commands and their faith in Jesus."
