Hebrews 9:22 (CSB) According to the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
What is not purified by the blood? Aaron and his sons were purified buy the blood (Exodus 29:20). The alter was purified by the blood (Leviticus 8:15). And the tent (Leviticus 4:5)How about the Table? Or the lamp stand? Or the ark? These were purified by being in the tent and by being after the alter. But then the people and the alter had to be purified over and over. But now we are purified by the blood of Jesus that was shed once for all! It is our past to repent and seek after the blood of Jesus in our lives daily.
Luke 9:23 (CSB)
Then he said to them all, "If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Romans 12:1 (CSB) Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship.
We cannot accept Jesus” action on the cross once in our life and expect to live with the world and still expect Jesus’ blood to cover our sins when we get to heaven. We are moved from sacrifices being offered yearly and daily to our lives being offered up to God as daily worship. Our sacrifice was offered up 2018ish years ago once for all time and all people. We cannot do anything to earn our salvation but God wants our fellowship. The final test of a person is death and at that point we are saved for the last time for all eternity!
Hebrews 9:28 (CSB)
so also Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Hebrews 5:9 (CSB)
After he was perfected, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him,
2 Corinthians 7:10 (CSB)
For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly grief produces death.
