Romans 5:12 (CSB) Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to all people, because all sinned.

Genesis 2:16-17 (CSB) 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree of the garden, 17 "but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for on the day you eat from it, you will certainly die."

Genesis 3:4-6 (CSB) 4 "No! You will not die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "In fact, God knows that when you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." 6 The woman saw that the tree was good for food and delightful to look at, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom. So she took some of its fruit and ate it; she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Genesis 3:16-19 (CSB) 16 He (God) said to the woman: I will intensify your labor pains; you will bear children with painful effort. Your desire will be for your husband, yet he will rule over you. 17 And he said to the man, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'Do not eat from it': The ground is cursed because of you. You will eat from it by means of painful labor all the days of your life. 18 "It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. 19 "You will eat bread by the sweat of your brow until you return to the ground, since you were taken from it. For you are dust, and you will return to dust."

Adam introduced sin into the fabric of all people. He changed our DNA. He moved everyone into the kingdom of satin. But Jesus came to offer to everyone a way back into the Kingdom of God. From that point on everything was going to die. Nothing died before Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. But now the whole world is cursed. Child bearing is painful for the ladies and work is tough for the men. In the end we all die. But Jesus came to take up our sins onto the the cross so that they will not be counted against us and we may live. We have a hope of Eternal Life, but Jesus offers us more than life in Heaven, for that is our Hope. He offers us life now here on earth. We want to accept life in heaven but we live in death and defeat here on earth. The Holy Spirit offers us Power, Jesus offers us Life and God offers us love. Let all of us walk in these things and live in Life in this dead and dying world.

Acts 1:8 (CSB) "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

John 10:10 (CSB) "A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.

Romans 5:5 (CSB)
This hope will not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Romans 8:28 (CSB)
We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

Ephesians 2:4 (CSB) But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us,
