Romans 5:14 (CSB) Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who did not sin in the likeness of Adam's transgression. He is a type of the Coming One.
How is Adam a type of Jesus? He is the “firstborn” of God just as Jesus is the only begotten son of God. Through Adam, sin reigns in humans. Through Jesus sin is defeated for all humans. Moses is also a type of Jesus in the fact that He was the salvation of the jews out of Egypt. Noah was a type of Jesus to be the righteous example to his generation. Melchizedek was, in the way that he was priest and king as Jesus is. As we look through the Bible we see “Jesus” pop up every once in a while to be example of salvation, mercy, love. Jesus is wanting people to look for him and find Him. The popular saying around Christmas is true. “Wise men still look for Jesus” and he is findable to everyone who looks for Him.
