Romans 5:9 (CSB) How much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by his blood, will we be saved through him from wrath.
“Therefore, since we have now been justified [declared free of the guilt of sin] by His blood, [how much more certain is it that] we will be saved from the wrath of God through Him.”

Salvation is a knowable situation. We can know we are saved. We can know we are being saved. We can know we will be saved. God is that dependable. But there are many times we are told that we must be in Christ. The with Him principle applies with salvation. The with Him principle is this: Imagine keeping your hand in direct placement with my hand but keeping it about a foot apart. As I randomly move my hand keep yours with mine. That is how most people want to treat Jesus. I will follow you from my safe spot. Not too close but “close enough”. Now imagine keeping your hand with mine as you push your hand into mine. As I move my hand randomly you will be able to keep up because you are touching mine. That is the way Jesus wants us to treat Him. We learn where Jesus is moving by reading the Bible and following the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Mark 3:13-15 (CSB) 13 Jesus went up the mountain and summoned those he wanted, and they came to him. 14 He appointed twelve, whom he also named apostles, to be with him, to send them out to preach, 15 and to have authority to drive out demons.
Acts 2:1-4 (CSB) 1 When the day of Pentecost had arrived, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like that of a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were staying. 3 They saw tongues like flames of fire that separated and rested on each one of them. 4 Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (CSB) 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
