Jesus is the ultimate example of suffering for good. He did not deserve to die or suffer at the hands of men. But He chose to! No one was snatching his life away but He was laying it down for us (John 10:18). He died so that we would not suffer death at the hand of God. Jesus is our example in the same way we will suffer in the hands of the world because the devil is still the king of the world and he hates God and all his followers. When we become a follower of Jesus we gain an enemy in the devil. But we also gain a Father who loves us and wants to see us prosper! Greater is God who is in us than the one who fights against us (1 John 4:4)
