“For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

The worse outcome for suffering for doing good would be physical death. For the christian that would mean they are present with the Lord and that is a good thing. The worse outcome for suffering for doing evil would be the second death eternally separated from God. To choose to live for the God stuff will bring about blessings for the followers of Jesus. The choose to follow the evil stuff will bring about evil rewards called curses.

““Look, today I set before you a blessing and a curse: there will be a blessing, if you obey the commands of the Lord your God I am giving you today, and a curse, if you do not obey the commands of the Lord your God and you turn aside from the path I command you today by following other gods you have not known.”
