“For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift — not from works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 HCSB
I have no bragging rights before God. He has done all the work to redeem me, to save me, to call me to Himself. Except my faith. Because He has called me to repentance by His Holy Spirit to a relationship with His Son, Jesus then I have to maintain faith, trust, and communication with Him. He has placed The Holy Spirit inside of me to act as an advocate to God so that when I pray He will help me to pray. When I act in the world He will act as a guide to the right decisions to point the wold to Jesus. He will give me the words to speak to the right people at the right time. Will I be obedient what The Holy Spirit tells me to pray, to do and to say? Is Jesus enough of my Lord that I will obey what He tells me to do? Is God enough of my father that I will honor Him with my actions? Or am I still listening to the ruler who exercises authority over the lower heavens (Ephesians 2:1-2)?
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth.
Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me. The victor: I will give him the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I also won the victory and sat down with My Father on His throne.”
Revelation 3:15-16, 20-21 HCSB
