“But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us — not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy — through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.” Titus 3:4-5 HCSB

At the Cross of Calvary salvation was extended to all who would accept Jesus' death and resurrection. Not because we had done anything to earn God's love or affection, but Because He Loves us and His Mercy wants to welcome all into His kingdom. The only easy we can get there is by His Son Jesus (John 3:16). When We enter into salvation with Jesus, God will save us through a washing to make us clean, then a renewal by the Holy Spirit to dress us up in Kings Clothes. We will no longer have the poor cloths of our former owner, the devil. We will be dressed in Love and not Lust, we will be dresses in Peace and not division, we will be Joy and not depression and so on. Are we willing to submit to the washing God has in store for us? Are we willing to submit to the renewal process that the Holy Spirit will need to perform in us? If not then are we saved? Or are we at a wedding banquet dressed in the wrong clothes?

""Then he told his slaves, 'The banquet is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Therefore go to where the roads exit the city and invite everyone you find to the banquet.' So those slaves went out on the roads and gathered everyone they found, both evil and good. The wedding banquet was filled with guests. But when the king came in to view the guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed for a wedding. So he said to him, 'Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes? ' The man was speechless. "Then the king told the attendants, 'Tie him up hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' "For many are invited, but few are chosen.""
