“But to all who did receive Him, He gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 HCSB

His own people did not receive Him,but those who did receive Him became His people. Not because of anything that might qualify us to be his people, but because He wants us.

We are not condemned by Jesus but loved. However when we step into eternity there will be one decision that will decide where we will spend eternity. And that one decision will be if we received Jesus. God is willing to receive us as we are but are we willing to accept Jesus as He is and become children of God. Not children of our fathers or mothers but children belong to God. God is love and is waiting to accept us as we are. Then He will begin to discipline us to purge out the old self that is in rebellion against Him. And then He will teach us how to act as children of God. This refining work will continue until He gets us right and then we will step into eternity into God’s Holy city of Heaven. Where He has prepared houses for His children.
