“He was in the world, and the world was created through Him, yet the world did not recognize Him.” John 1:10 HCSB

Jesus came to the world to show them God the Father. Yet the world did not recognize Him because they were looking for the wrong Messiah. They were looking for someone to deliver them from the Romans.  But Jesus came to deliver them from a higher power of evil, the Devil and sin. They did not recognize Him because they were looking the wrong way.  But now we can recognize Him not by is face but by his voice. 

“When he has brought all his own outside, he goes ahead of them. The sheep follow him because they recognize his voice. They will never follow a stranger; instead they will run away from him, because they don’t recognize the voice of strangers.””

John 10:4-5 HCSB

So am I following the voice of Jesus, my savior, my lord, my friend, my messiah, my life, my light? My savior because he has paid my sin debt in full before God. My Lord because I have given my life to Him and choose to obey Him. My friend because He is with me always. My Messiah because He has delivered me from the bondage of satin. My Life because He has resorted to me a heart of Flesh by crushing the heart of stone. My Light because he directs my path. How about you, are you following his voice? Is He your Savior? Lord? Friend? Messiah? Life? Light? Does he call out to you and you follow because you recognize His voice?
