“The one who has the Son has life. The one who doesn’t have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12 HCSB
If we as Christians are jealous of anyone else’s life especially the world’s then we are sinning.
“Do not covet your neighbor’s house. Do not covet your neighbor’s wife, his male or female slave, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

If we are desiring more in our life especially the things of God then we are on the verge of growing In Christ. Life is promised to us. And God desires for us a life more abundantly
“A thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.”
John 10:10 HCSB

The world has nothing to promise in life to us. Our whole life should be centered around Jesus. It is good to have jobs to provide for you and your family. It is good to enjoy hobbies and leisure time as long as you can glorify God through them and not be sinning. All those things can be blessings that Jesus brings into our life.
“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 HCSB

“So if you have been raised with the Messiah, seek what is above, where the Messiah is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on what is above, not on what is on the earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God. When the Messiah, who is your life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.”
Colossians 3:1-4 HCSB

“The God who made the world and everything in it — He is Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in shrines made by hands. Neither is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives everyone life and breath and all things. From one man He has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live. He did this so they might seek God, and perhaps they might reach out and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’”
