“And He (The Father) has granted Him (The Son) the right to pass judgment, because He is the Son of Man.” John 5:27 HCSB
Why to we think judgment is bad? Can Jesus in fact pass judgment of Life onto a person? He can and He wants to. But do we allow Him by being obedient to Him?
““Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things I say? I will show you what someone is like who comes to Me, hears My words, and acts on them: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the river crashed against that house and couldn’t shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears and does not act is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The river crashed against it, and immediately it collapsed. And the destruction of that house was great! ””

Everyone wants a stable life, but very few will do all the things Jesus says to do all the time. Many of us will get it right about 75% of the time. Im not saying that someone is perfect but there are those few who have fully submitted to the Lordship of Jesus. He is in fact our Lord, our owner, our boss, our rabbi. Everyone loves the fact that Jesus is our friend, our brother, our help. If Jesus said it then it needs to be final. Jesus says do not, then we should not do. If Jesus says do, then we need to do. The faith of a Child will obey just because He says so. The faith of an adult says why. Sometimes we do not need to know why He just wants us to move.
We use this example with our kids: If I was to tell you to run to me you should run because you may not see the snake behind you, but I do and I want you to get away from it before it strikes.
Is that not exactly what God wants from us obedience in Him only because He loves us? After all Jesus can bring judgment of Life to us. The key to a fruitful life is repentance. That is to say you confess your sins to God and He will forgive you. And then you can begin to live for Him because He has passed judgment of Life to you.
