“For no one can lay any other foundation than what has been laid down. That foundation is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:11 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/1co.3.11.hcsb
If you lay a foundation other than all of Jesus you build another religion. If you take away Jesus as the Son of God then you have what looks like Christianity, but with out Christ. So you end up with __________“ianity”, you can fill in the blank. Certainty the devil has been trying to do this from the beginning of time. Everyone one needs something to believe in, that’s how God made us.
The Amorites knew of Noah and God’s salvation though his boat, but they began to twist God’s relationship plan and began to worship something different then God. And God was going to bring judgment to them through a small nation coming out of Egypt lead by a man named Moses.
“In the fourth generation they will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure.””
Genesis 15:16 HCSB

Then that small nation would begin to twist God’s rules to fit their life style. And once again, less then a 1000 years latter God would judge them for not serving Him according to His foundation.
The Pharisees and Sadducees in Jesus’ time was worshiping someone other then God which resulted to God ripping the veil between Him and His people.
““Our father is Abraham! ” they replied. “If you were Abraham’s children,” Jesus told them, “you would do what Abraham did. But now you are trying to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do this! You’re doing what your father does.” “We weren’t born of sexual immorality,” they said. “We have one Father — God.” Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, because I came from God and I am here. For I didn’t come on My own, but He sent Me. Why don’t you understand what I say? Because you cannot listen to My word. You are of your father the Devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of liars. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.”

Now today we have to ask are we serving God the way Jesus expects or are have we compromised The Foundation of Jesus. Either we are sheep who listen to Jesus’ voice or we are listen to a wolf that looks and sounds like Jesus.
““Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves. You’ll recognize them by their fruit. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles? In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can’t produce bad fruit; neither can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So you’ll recognize them by their fruit.”
Matthew 7:15-20 HCSB

“But I fear that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may be seduced from a complete and pure devotion to Christ. For if a person comes and preaches another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or you receive a different spirit, which you had not received, or a different gospel, which you had not accepted, you put up with it splendidly!
But I will continue to do what I am doing, in order to deny the opportunity of those who want an opportunity to be regarded just as our equals in what they boast about. For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no great thing if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their destiny will be according to their works.”
2 Corinthians 11:3-4, 12-15 HCSB

Are we serving God or the man who says he comes from God? Are we trusting in the foundation of Jesus or have to accepted another foundation that will not stand?
““Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock. The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of Mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. And its collapse was great! ””
Matthew 7:24-27 HCSB
