We are given skills by God. We may or all be archers like Ishmael, Esau, and Joseph. I hate the use Esau and Ishmael as examples but God did bless them and helped them to hunt with the bow and arrow. But Joseph was a steady bow. No matter what He faced He held on to God.  Why do I bring up archery this morning. Well soon my daughter is going to be shooting at a National archery competition. God certainly has blessed her with some good skill at archery. She is better then Her mom and me. But for the most part she is self taught. But with all the teaching in the world with out the God given skill all you have is knowledge. So I want to encourage you to develop your God given skills and use them from His purposes. We have two choices we can be humble and let God use us or we can be boastful and be humbled by God.

That stone is Jesus. Those who fall on Jesus humbly will be lifted up. Those whom He’s has to discipline will be crushed. Those whom repent when crushed will be restored. So if your skill is archery or not use it for the glory of God and let Him exalt you.
