“The spiritual person, however, can evaluate everything, yet he himself cannot be evaluated by anyone.” 1 Corinthians 2:15 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/1co.2.15.hcsb

Strong’s definition of evaluate is: to scrutinize, i.e. (by implication) investigate, interrogate, determine:—ask, question, discern, examine, judge, search. The one who is following the Spirit can judge, discern, and search the Spirit. But they themselves cannot be scrutinized, interrogated, or investigated by any other person. They will be justified in their actions by The Holy Spirit. At times we may look weird or strange by the world, but in the end they will see that we have been following God’s leading.

The story of Joseph in the Old Testament is an excellent story of some one who was above scrutiny. He was sold into the house of Potiphar as a slave. When Potiphar’s wife made up a false accusation against Joseph Potiphar could have him killed but instead Potiphar had throw into the royal prison. He would then meet the royal cup bearer and the royal baker. One of which was able to recommend Joseph to Pharaoh. The whole time Joseph could have given up but he kept serving God and the house was blessed because he did. His ways may have seemed odd to Potiphar, the cup bearer, the baker, and Pharaoh but in the end he was beyond reproach. See the full story In Genesis 39-41.

The other story of someone who was above scrutiny would be Daniel. His enemies had to find a way to kill him based on his religious actions. So they made a law that made anyone who bowed to worship any God or king except the king would be thrown into the lion’s den. Daniel could have stopped praying for a few days to conform but he did not. He continued to pray and was thrown into the lion’s den, but the next morning he walked out. And those who wrote the law to kill him was thrown into the lion’s den.  (Daniel 6:1-24)

Will we be following the Sprit in all our actions or will we be persuaded by the world? We will be Rock steady on Christ or will we be a ship that has lost direction.

“Look at Zion, the city of our festival times. Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful pasture, a tent that does not wander; its tent pegs will not be pulled up nor will any of its cords be loosened. For the majestic One, our Lord, will be there, a place of rivers and broad streams where ships that are rowed will not go, and majestic vessels will not pass. For the Lord is our Judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our King. He will save us. Your ropes are slack; they cannot hold the base of the mast or spread out the flag. Then abundant spoil will be divided, the lame will plunder it,”

Will your foundation be Jesus or the shifting sand of the world?

““Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock. The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of Mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. And its collapse was great! ””

Do not be the ship who is tossed by the wind with out direction or the house built on the sand. For in the end they will come to ruin. But be the tent that is securely staked down or the house that is built on the infallible Word of Jesus.

“But He gives greater grace. Therefore He says: God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore, submit to God. But resist the Devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, double-minded people! Be miserable and mourn and weep. Your laughter must change to mourning and your joy to sorrow. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you. Don’t criticize one another, brothers. He who criticizes a brother or judges his brother criticizes the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.”

“Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. An indecisive man is unstable in all his ways.”
