“I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 HCSB
I am able to be content when I have little. I am able to be content when I have much. Because He strengthens me to do it.
In my flesh I falter and fail more often then I should. But Jesus is my strength. He is my fortress. The more I lean on Him the more I can be strong and courageous. The more I can do what He strengthens me to do. This verse in context is talking about finances but I do believe that He is able to strengthen me in all things if we are willing to trust Him to do so.
Can we trust Him to strengthen us in, Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faith, Gentleness and Self-control? All these things are currency in God’s kingdom. God can strengthen us to be content with money, but are we willing to be strengthened when it comes to these others.
