“I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content — whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need.” Philippians 4:12 HCSB
Riches did not boast up Paul. Lack did not drive Paul to steal. He could correctly handle either. He knew that the souls of People really mattered. He desired all to be saved and he did not let a lack of support or a 1,000,000 followers distract him from the call God had placed in his life.
“As they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work I have called them to.” Then after they had fasted, prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them off.”

“There was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias. And the Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias! ” “Here I am, Lord! ” he said. “Get up and go to the street called Straight,” the Lord said to him, “to the house of Judas, and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, since he is praying there. In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and placing his hands on him so he can regain his sight.” “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem. And he has authority here from the chief priests to arrest all who call on Your name.” But the Lord said to him, “Go! For this man is My chosen instrument to take My name to Gentiles, kings, and the Israelites. I will show him how much he must suffer for My name! ””

““After I came back to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple complex, I went into a visionary state and saw Him telling me, ‘Hurry and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about Me! ’ “But I said, ‘Lord, they know that in synagogue after synagogue I had those who believed in You imprisoned and beaten. And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was being shed, I was standing by and approving, and I guarded the clothes of those who killed him.’ “Then He said to me, ‘Go, because I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’ ””

Paul’s eyes were on the call not the reward. All to often we get it mixed up we focus on the prize and forget what He has called us to do. If God blesses you with a small ministry or a big one the call is still the same. To preach the gospel, make disciples, to heal the sick, receive the Holy Spirit and to be His witnesses.
“Then He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation.”
