“Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.” Philippians 4:20 HCSB

Paul moved from my God in verse 19 to our God in verse 20. Paul’s God would provide for their needs, not that their God would not but Paul had the faith that He would. Now He is telling the church in Philippi that our God and our Father will receive the Glory that is due Him. He is not limited by our weakness to bring Him glory, but that He wants to use our weaknesses to bring glory to Himself.

God receives the glory when we give up some part of us to better the lives of the others around us. In turn as God gets the glory then He will turn around and multiply the work for the receiver and He will give back to us a great measure for our good deed.

God is a jealous God He wants the glory and He deserves the glory and He will not share the glory with anything or any body else. Anything or anyone who is trying to steal God’s glory is an idol to us. So we give God the glory He deserves by living the way He wats us to and giving up the stuff and money that He is asking us to give up.

“Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father. To whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”
