“The dead do not live; departed spirits do not rise up. Indeed, You have visited and destroyed them; You have wiped out all memory of them.” Isaiah 26:14 HCSB

Once you are dead, your lasting impression on the earth begins to fade. After 70 years you are just another name on a tombstone. Your soul moves on to its final destination, either to heaven to celebrate with God for the remainder of eternity or to hell for judgment with the devil. But the work you do for God can live forever. The people who find Jesus because of your life, devotion, and contributions to God move on to their Heavenly home. our souls are immortal, we are made to live forever with God, not as God but with God. Our bodies are temporary houses to hold and grow our soul untill God calls us to himself. People are one of two things that we can touch here on earth that will never be permittly destroyed.

The Word of God is the other. Sure we can burn, tear, or destroy the Bible, but the Word of God will never pass away. Government may try to ban Bibles, but God can still speak to the People and call them to Himself. So the covers of our Bibles are just temporary binders to hold the word of God and soon we will get to see the Word of God in scrolls that cannot be destroyed and will not be banned, but will be opened and full of Life.

What will we do with this? We can ignor all the people and the Word of God and have no impact on the Kingdom of God. We can forget people and just focus on the Word of God in our lives, and have a message to take to the masses and never deliver. We can just focus on people but never have a new Word of God and only present an old dead message. Or we can focus on both people and the Word of God, and have a healthy soul, and encourage many people to follow God and His Word.  I hope you consider intaking the whole Word of God and investing in people.

“Go now, write it on a tablet in their presence and inscribe it on a scroll; it will be for the future, forever and ever.”

“For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return there without saturating the earth and making it germinate and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat, so My word that comes from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do.””
