“For the creation was subjected to futility — not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it — in the hope that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of corruption into the glorious freedom of God’s children.” Romans 8:20-21 HCSB

Futility is used in the Bible as:

•  what is devoid of truth and appropriateness

•  perverseness, depravity

•  frailty, want of vigor

Creation has been subject to, void of truth, perverseness, loss of vigor. Could you imagine if the world was still operating in the perfect condition of the Garden of Eden? God planted this garden for the first man to take care of. All the trees would be yielding it’s fruit perfectly. All the animals would be living in harmony. and there would be no hard work to take care of the Garden. This is the condition the creation is longing for again. When it operated in truth, holiness, and vigor.

Creation did not ask to be put into this futility but is subject to God to allow it to happen because of the sin of Adam and Eve when they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Creation is waiting for the Kingdom of God to return to normal operating conditions. Until then it is up to us as God’s children to follow the Holy Spirit to live on the earth in a way that would make the World happy. This is not lowering Mankind down to the same level as animals, but it is not killing animals to make room or money for us. it is living in a balance between these two extremes. Making the world happy is not polluting the water, land, and sky with our trash but by being responsible with the resources that God has placed here on the earth for us to use. Making the world happy is treating our fellow man and women with kindness and love. Not in sinful ways were we dominate over them or in perverseness, but according to the commands of God.

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt should lose its taste, how can it be made salty? It’s no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled on by men. “You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches people to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Fool! ’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But whoever says, ‘You moron! ’ will be subject to hellfire.

But I tell you, everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

But I tell you, everyone who divorces his wife, except in a case of sexual immorality, causes her to commit adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

But let your word ‘yes’ be ‘yes,’ and your ‘no’ be ‘no.’ Anything more than this is from the evil one.

But I tell you, don’t resist an evildoer. On the contrary, if anyone slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
