“For those He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers.” Romans 8:29 HCSB
Those who God foreknew, are they the select or everyone? Everyone! God knows about you before you were known by your parents. God knew more about you long before you breathed your first breath.
“For it was You who created my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will praise You because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know this very well. My bones were not hidden from You when I was made in secret, when I was formed in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in Your book and planned before a single one of them began.”

“I chose you before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart before you were born. I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

We may not all be called to be a prophet to the nations, but we are formed by God. And we are set apart for a specific purpose. Are you living up to your purpose?
We all have one purpose in our lives, to be made into the image of Jesus the perfect Son of God. We are to be open so that the world can see Jesus in us.
We only have two choices. We can look like the world. Or we can look like Jesus. God has predestined everyone to look like Jesus. But the choice is up to us.
“Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:1-2 HCSB

Are we displaying the works of the flesh or the fruits of the Spirit?
“Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I tell you about these things in advance — as I told you before — that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
Galatians 5:19-23 HCSB
