“What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?” Romans 8:31 HCSB
There are two powers at work in our lives! God is the supreme power! The other is the Devil. He only has the power because we have given it to him and God allows him to have the power. One day everyone will see that God is all-powerful and we will bow down to Him. The choice is up to us when. We can willingly bow now in this life. OR we can be made to bow because of His power and presence in heaven. Those who bow now will be given Eternal life. And those who choose not to bow now will be given torment in Hell.
God is working in everyone now. If you have become a Christian God is wanting to work on you to be more like His son, Jesus. If you have not yet become a Christian, God is working in you through the Holy Spirit to see that you need Jesus.
God is for us. He wants a loving relationship with you like a good father would have with his kids. He is looking and waiting for everyone to come back home to His kingdom (Matthew 23:9).
God is for us. We can have Him in our corner helping us and encouraging us to keep up the good fight of life.
God is for us. He will never give us too much to handle, but when we feel overwhelmed we can ask Him for help and He will bring us help (1 Corinthians 10:13).
So who is against us? The Devil, Satan, Lucifer, the deceiver, the serpent in the Garden, the beast and dragon in the end times.
There is no middle ground. If your not with God you are with the serpent. The more you feed the serpent the more he grows into the dragon in your life. The more this world feeds the serpent the more he grows into the dragon.
“Now the serpent was the most cunning of all the wild animals that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You can’t eat from any tree in the garden’? ””

“He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for 1,000 years. He threw him into the abyss, closed it, and put a seal on it so that he would no longer deceive the nations until the 1,000 years were completed. After that, he must be released for a short time.”

We have to decide who has more power in our lives. God! Or Satan. God is greater in power in the world. But God does not force His power onto us, he waits till we want it.
“I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength.”
Ephesians 1:17-19 HCSB

“I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit, and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love, and to know the Messiah’s love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

Paul had it figured out. The Christians in generations past needed God’s vast strength. And so do we. Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world (1 John 4:4).
When we keep our eyes on God everything that comes against us seems to so small compared to Him.
