“Who can bring an accusation against God’s elect? God is the One who justifies.” Romans 8:33 HCSB
Who is God’s elect? Those whom He has foreknew, predestined, conformed, justified, and glorified (Romans 8:29-30). Which is everyone who will love God. So who can bring an accusation against those who are loving God? Many will try and even fewer will be heard. The real answer is no one. But sometimes we allow the accusations of the world to get into our head and we tend to be defeated by them, rather than standing on who we are in Christ.
God is the one who justifies. Not the world. Not us. But God. If we do what God is telling us to do then we can be justified. If we do contrary to what God says to do we are in sin.
We talked about God’s top 10 commands in verse 32. But God says that to not do the right thing is also sin.
“So it is a sin for the person who knows to do what is good and doesn’t do it.”

We can try to justify our actions all day, but at the end of it all, we will answer to God for all actions and words. Those actions and words that are repented are washed away and those that are not will be dealt with.
“I tell you that on the day of judgment people will have to account for every careless word they speak. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

It is far better to fall down broken in repentance now rather than waiting till eternity to be smashed by God’s judgment.
“Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This came from the Lord and is wonderful in our eyes? Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing its fruit. Whoever falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whoever it falls, it will grind him to powder! ”
