Salvation can be found in many different ways, but only through one person, Jesus. Verse 2 was talking about obtaining salvation through an angel's message. Others have found salvation through trying to disprove the Bible or by just reading it. Many people have heard the salvation call through a Pastor’s message at church. Salvation is heard through the life of a Christian. The Muslims are hearing about Salvation through their dreams. Two things remain. First, it is through Jesus that we hear the salvation call. And second, everyone must answer the call for themselves. Grandma cannot pray you into salvation. She can pray that you will accept salvation, but you have to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, your boss and defense attorney.

Salvation was spoken by Jesus and the writer of Hebrews heard it through a disciple of Jesus. Salvation has been passed down from Christian to Christian for 2,000 years now. God's word is still true, we must do salvation God’s way! if we stop telling others of salvation, then Christianity may just die. The religious leaders in Jesus’ day certainly hoped that would happen, but it did not and it will not. 

Romans lays out a good plan of salvation for us. it is called the Romans road.

Everyone who wants salvation must.

1.  Confess that they are a sinner

2.  Know that even one sin will result in death.

3.  Believe Jesus paid the price of death.

4.  Confess that Jesus is Lord

5.  Believe that Jesus has been raised from the dead.

   How did Jesus describe salvation?

“Jesus answered, “I assure you: Unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I told you that you must be born again. The wind blows where it pleases, and you hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God.”

The whole Bible points to Jesus as the savior of the world. The Old Testament points to Jesus coming as the messiah. the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) show us how He lived as the messiah. The rest of the New Testament shows us how He works in the lives of His people, who made Him Lord.
