“And why do you worry about clothes? Learn how the wildflowers of the field grow: they don’t labor or spin thread.” Matthew 6:28 HCSB

God provides food, but it is also part of the curse that we have to work toward growing or buying it.

“And He said to Adam, “Because you listened to your wife’s voice and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘Do not eat from it’: The ground is cursed because of you. You will eat from it by means of painful labor all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. You will eat bread by the sweat of your brow until you return to the ground, since you were taken from it. For you are dust, and you will return to dust.”
Genesis 3:17-19 HCSB

But clothes were provided by God.

“Adam named his wife Eve because she was the mother of all the living. The Lord God made clothing out of skins for
Adam and his wife, and He clothed them.”
Genesis 3:20-21 HCSB

Yes, now we work to either make or buy clothes. And like food, most of us in America have no lack. But God still provides.

Jesus said, “Learn how the wildflowers of the field grow: they don’t labor or spin thread.” So what or how are we to learn from the wildflowers?

Out of seed, any plant grows. The wildflowers grow from a tiny seed. The mighty oak grows from a single seed, the acorn. Some plants grow to produce seeds and die. While others grow for many years yielding many seeds over many years. At their peak of beauty, the wildflowers are a sea of bright vivid colors, giving life and shelter and food to other animals like bees, butterflies, and birds. But then in a matter of a few weeks, all the splendor dies away and they are cut down to make way for next year's flowers.

God provides out of seeds that are sown. If we lack we sow a seed into other peoples needs and God will provide back to you all you have given away. Then a little more. Then a lot more. Then so much more that you have no lack but you keep giving it away.

“Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure — pressed down, shaken together, and running over — will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”
Luke 6:38 HCSB

“Bring the full tenth into the storehouse so that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this way,” says the Lord of Hosts. “See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not ruin the produce of your land and your vine in your field will not fail to produce fruit,” says the Lord of Hosts.”
Malachi 3:10-11 HCSB

So don’t worry about your clothes, God will provide what you have need of, but give to others and it will be given back to you more than you can handle.
