What do we need today? We are told that everyone needs food, water, shelter, and love every day. What if we looked to God to let Him Give us all these things. What would it look like to have God supply our Food? For some people, this is a big reality. We would be thankful for what we had. 

The world has a bread that satisfies for a short period, but God’s bread could sustain you for the day. He provides enough to eat all day and be satisfied. 

“When the layer of dew evaporated, there were fine flakes on the desert surface, as fine as frost on the ground. When the Israelites saw it, they asked one another, “What is it? ” because they didn’t know what it was. Moses told them, “It is the bread the Lord has given you to eat. This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Gather as much of it as each person needs to eat. You may take two quarts per individual, according to the number of people each of you has in his tent.’ ”

The manna lasted only one day except on the sixth day it would last through the seventh day. God provided for the Israelites every day for forty years. Why do we doubt that God will provide for us today? 

Most of us in America have more then we need. We have food to last till we go shopping again. We have an unlimited amount of water and we have homes where we are protected from the elements. But what about Love? Do we have so much love that we don’t need to rely on God? 

We look to husbands or wives, parents, kids, friends, strangers, and our social media friends for love. We want to know that they know we still exist and we look for praise from them. what about God? Do we look to Him for praise or love? Do we see that we wonderfully made by Him? Do we see that He calls us to be His people? 

I think that all too often we have too much of the other stuff that we forget that God provides us with everything and we forget to praise Him for it.

 “Keep falsehood and deceitful words far from me. Give me neither poverty nor wealth; feed me with the food I need. Otherwise, I might have too much and deny You, saying, “Who is the Lord? ” or I might have nothing and steal, profaning the name of my God.”

Turn to God for His daily bread. Don’t seek it out from the world. Only He can provide the right amount for today!

​ The women with the issue of blood Soon after I was married our pastor’s wife gave a message called “The Hem of Him” and this woman was the main subject of her message. She talked about how she had to press through the crowd to get to Jesus. She talked about how she was unclean and should not be in the crowd. Then she related it to us that we have to press through all the doubts, internal and external, to get to Jesus. Most certainly we all have heard a message of this woman.  Did you pick up that she had an issue with bleeding for 12 years? Jairus’ daughter was 12 years old. Of course, neither the women nor Jairus knew this but Jesus did. And was willing to help both the synagogue ruler and this poor woman the same. Hebrews, Jews, and Israelites

​ “They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the temple service, and the promises.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭4‬ ‭HCSB ‬‬ “But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭HCSB ‬‬ We have three words to describe the people whom God used throughout the Old Testament, Hebrews, Jews, and Israelites. The term Jew has been more associated with the religion of those who believe in God but have not believed in Jesus as the Messiah. The Jewish religion has been high-jacked and a few no longer serve the God of the Bible but rather the father of lies, the Devil, just as some “Christian” denominations do. The second term of Israelite is typically someone who lives in Israel. This would be people who are Jews, Christians, Islam followers, atheists, white, American, middle eastern, and so on. It is just people who reside in Israel and hold some form of Israeli citizenship.

The Word of God is #1 living!

​ I want to take the next 4 to 6 posts in BQTT to dwell on what “the word of God is”. The Word of God is #1 living! In our hands, we do not hold some dusty old relic of some 35 to 40 authors. But a living book written by God through the hands of many different people over 1,000’s of years. Have you ever been reading a normal book and a few words jump off the page to say, “Hey, read me again.”? I bet there have been very few times this has happened, but now, how often have the words written in the Bible done that for you? If you spend any amount of time reading the Bible I would say it has happened more than the normal literature.  Last night I was lying down and a verse reference popped into my head. I did not immediately know the words of this verse but had to look it up.  The verse was, “Who makes a god or casts a metal image for no profit?” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭44‬:‭10‬ ‭HCSB ‬‬ This is another aspect of the Bible being alive.
