“You give them something to eat,” He told them. “We have no more than five loaves and two fish,” they said, “unless we go and buy food for all these people.” (For about 5,000 men were there.) Luke 9:13-14a HCSB

Jesus did not say, “ok I’ll feed them.” He told the disciples to feed them. They came and started the conversation in verse 11 by asking Jesus to send them away. Now Jesus is keeping them and asking the disciples to come up with a plan. Jesus knew what was going to happen, but He was wanting to see what they would come up with.  The only plan they came up with is to borrow some kid’s dinner.

“Therefore, when Jesus looked up and noticed a huge crowd coming toward Him, He asked Philip, “Where will we buy bread so these people can eat? ” He asked this to test him, for He Himself knew what He was going to do.

Philip answered, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread wouldn’t be enough for each of them to have a little.”

One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, “There’s a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish — but what are they for so many? ”
John 6:5-9 HCSB

God always has a master plan! He has a plan for you. He had it before you were born. He had it while you were lost and bound in the slavery of Sin. He had it when you turned to Jesus. He still has it while you are living in Him. God has a plan for you and your circumstances do not change it. The longer you run from it the longer the road might be to get there but the plan has not changed.

“I chose you before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart before you were born. I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:5 HCSB

“For this is what the Lord says: “When 70 years for Babylon are complete, I will attend to you and will confirm My promise concerning you to restore you to this place. For I know the plans I have for you” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. You will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and places where I banished you” — this is the Lord’s declaration. “I will restore you to the place I deported you from.”
Jeremiah 29:10-14 HCSB

“How happy is the man who has put his trust in the Lord and has not turned to the proud or to those who run after lies! Lord my God, You have done many things — Your wonderful works and Your plans for us; none can compare with You. If I were to report and speak of them, they are more than can be told. You do not delight in sacrifice and offering; You open my ears to listen. You do not ask for a whole burnt offering or a sin offering. Then I said, “See, I have come; it is written about me in the volume of the scroll. I delight to do Your will, my God; Your instruction lives within me.”
Psalms 40:4-8 HCSB

“He also said: “A man had two sons. The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate I have coming to me.’ So he distributed the assets to them. Not many days later, the younger son gathered together all he had and traveled to a distant country, where he squandered his estate in foolish living. After he had spent everything, a severe famine struck that country, and he had nothing. Then he went to work for one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs. He longed to eat his fill from the carob pods the pigs were eating, but no one would give him any. When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired hands have more than enough food, and here I am dying of hunger! I’ll get up, go to my father, and say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I’m no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired hands.’ So he got up and went to his father. But while the son was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran, threw his arms around his neck, and kissed him. The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I’m no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father told his slaves, ‘Quick! Bring out the best robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Then bring the fattened calf and slaughter it, and let’s celebrate with a feast, because this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found! ’ So they began to celebrate.”
Luke 15:11-24 HCSB

Will you seek after God’s plan for your life? Or will you continue to seek after your plans for your life? God wants to be your God. He wants Jesus to be your Lord but as long as you continue to live life your way that will never happen. You must submit to God and yield yourself wholly and completely in His holy will and His complete plan for your life.

“Write to the angel of the church in Laodicea: “The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Originator of God’s creation says: I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I’m rich; I have become wealthy and need nothing,’ and you don’t know that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire so that you may be rich, white clothes so that you may be dressed and your shameful nakedness not be exposed, and ointment to spread on your eyes so that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent. Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me. The victor: I will give him the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I also won the victory and sat down with My Father on His throne. “Anyone who has an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.”
Revelation 3:14-22 HCSB

The church of America has fallen into the same faults as the Church of Laodicea. We are rich and have forgotten the passion for God. We think we have it all figured out. But in reality, we are probably getting most of it wrong. If you're at a Church and God shows you that they have gotten it all wrong, get out and go find a church that is getting it right. You don’t want to be apart of a church that will be spit out of God’s mouth. You will want to be a victor and be able to sit down with Jesus on His throne.  If you find yourself not as church look for one.

During this quarantined time that we find most of the world in most of the churches are posting their services on Facebook live or other video streaming services like it. Begin to watch other services around your area to find a good church that is getting it right. While you are home began to talk with your family about God while you sit down to eat, while you drive down the road and while you lie down at night.

“Listen, Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is One. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol on your forehead. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
Deuteronomy 6:4-9 HCSB
