About eight days after Jesus told them that some will not taste death until they see the Kingdom of God. Peter John and James are getting ready for a preview of the Kingdom. But first, they have to climb either Mount Tabor at 1,900 feet or Mount Hermon at 9,000 feet.

Mount Tabor is the mountain where Judge Barak went with Deborah to fight Sisera Commander of the  Canaanite forces.

“She summoned Barak son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali and said to him, “Hasn’t the Lord, the God of Israel, commanded you: ‘Go, deploy the troops on Mount Tabor, and take with you 10,000 men from the Naphtalites and Zebulunites?”

IF you know the story Barak did not get credit for this battle because he was afraid to go alone and took Deborah along with Him. And Jael the wife of Herber took a tent peg and killed him.

Mount Hermon is mentioned in Psalms 133 for its abundance of dew.

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! It is like fine oil on the head, running down on the beard, running down Aaron’s beard onto his robes. It is like the dew of Hermon falling on the mountains of Zion. For there the Lord has appointed the blessing — life forevermore.”

Jesus took the disciples up a mountain that either is known for its unique amount of dew or for the place of unique victories. Both places have some deep meanings for Christians. One is a place of blessings where brothers dwell in unity or where females get a chance to prove their worth. 

“I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by Your name that You have given Me, so that they may be one as We are one.

May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You. May they also be one in Us, so the world may believe You sent Me. I have given them the glory You have given Me. May they be one as We are one. I am in them and You are in Me. May they be made completely one, so the world may know You have sent Me and have loved them as You have loved Me.”

Jesus was to first be declared risen to women. Jesus leveled the ground at the cross. No longer was women to be looked as inferrer but rather a co-laborer for God. Which establishes unity in the Body of Christ and the home.

“On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb. They went in but did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men stood by them in dazzling clothes. So the women were terrified and bowed down to the ground. “Why are you looking for the living among the dead? ” asked the men.”
