“But He strictly warned and instructed them to tell this to no one,” Luke 9:21 HCSB

All too often I feel that this verse still applies to me today. I feel overwhelmed and I talk myself out of sharing Jesus with my coworkers, friends, family, and others. But this is not for us it was for the disciples for only a short period.

“Therefore, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in an ear in private rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.”
Luke 12:3 HCSB

After Jesus’ resurrection, the disciples began to proclaim Him freely and boldly. They no longer could hide in His shadow, but they had to be brave and bold. With the power of the Holy Spirit overshadowing them, they no longer feared the Pharisees and Sadducees. but the love and desire for God took over and the whole town of Jerusalem was buzzing with excitement over the power and wisdom coming out to the disciples and the new converts to God’s family.

“When they had prayed, the place where they were assembled was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak God’s message with boldness.”
Acts 4:31 HCSB

Will you hide your relationship with Jesus from the world who desperately needs Him now? Or will you proclaim Him to everyone one will give you a platform to stand on?
