“For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will save it.” Luke 9:24 HCSB

Lets face it. No one reading this today is facing death because of Jesus, yet. But we all are facing a decision. We can either save our life or we can loose it. The ways of the christian should be contrary to the world. The world says to find your life is to live it. But God says the way to find your life is to give it to God and let Him define it.

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is God’s power to us who are being saved.”
1 Corinthians 1:18 HCSB

If our life lines up with the world and we preach Jesus then they will not listen but rather ridicule and laugh at us. If our life lines up with the world and we don’t preach Jesus then we offer the world no hope. If our life lines up with the Bible and we preach Jesus then we offer the world the only thing that will help them and we bring an eternal soul into heaven through their salvation.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek.”
Romans 1:16 HCSB

An unashamed life is lived publicly and an ashamed life is lived beyond the eyes of those who would catch us.

“Then He brought me to the entrance of the court, and when I looked there was a hole in the wall. He said to me, “Son of man, dig through the wall.” So I dug through the wall, and there was a doorway. He said to me, “Go in and see the terrible and detestable things they are committing here.” I went in and looked, and there engraved all around the wall was every form of detestable thing, crawling creatures and beasts, as well as all the idols of the house of Israel. Seventy elders from the house of Israel were standing before them, with Jaazaniah son of Shaphan standing among them. Each had a firepan in his hand, and a fragrant cloud of incense was rising up. Then He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his idol? For they are saying, ‘The Lord does not see us. The Lord has abandoned the land.’ ”
Ezekiel 8:7-12 HCSB

“If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me, and the light around me will be night” — even the darkness is not dark to You. The night shines like the day; darkness and light are alike to You. For it was You who created my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
Psalms 139:11-13 HCSB
