“Don’t stop him,” Jesus told him, “because whoever is not against you is for you.” Luke 9:50 HCSB

There are only two teams in life. There is the God team and the devil’s team. It is your choice who’s team your on? God does not choose your team. You must choose to be on His team.

“When Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in His hand. Joshua approached Him and asked, “Are You for us or for our enemies? ”
“Neither,” He replied. “I have now come as commander of the Lord’s army.”
Then Joshua bowed with his face to the ground in worship and asked Him, “What does my Lord want to say to His servant? ”
The commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.”
Joshua 5:13-15 HCSB

“Now Jericho was strongly fortified because of the Israelites — no one leaving or entering. The Lord said to Joshua, “Look, I have handed Jericho, its king, and its fighting men over to you. March around the city with all the men of war, circling the city one time. Do this for six days.”
Joshua 6:1-3 HCSB

The commander was not there to give a message but to attack. And in an act of faith, Joshua approached to talk to the commander. Joshua did not approach in a threatening way but one of reverence and submission. By the end of the conversation, Joshua was given the battle plans for Jericho —March around the city once per day and seven times on the seventh day.

“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth.”
Revelation 3:15-16 HCSB

Jesus is talking to the Church in Laodicea. He is talking to people who have chosen His side, but now they have fizzled out and are no longer coming to practice, they are no longer studying the playbook. They are no longer dressing for the game. What is going to happen to them? They are going to be kicked off the team. They have once accepted Jesus as their coach, but now they have rejected His instructions and the coach will remove them from the team with great authority and power.

Yes, the Christians who do not stay connected to the team. The ones who Stop going to church to be encouraged. The ones who stop reading and studying their bible. The ones who stop living for God outside in the world. They have rejected Jesus as their Savior and Lord and Jesus will remove them from the Church of God and will remove their name from the sealed “Lamb’s Book of Life”. There is great mercy in God because of Jesus, but if we reject Jesus as our savior He has no requirement to save us.

If you have chosen the devil's team then it is never to late to switch sides. Jesus is willing and able to accept everyone who turns to Him in reverence and submission. They will be given the jersey of God’s team. You must acknowledge that Jesus is the only way to God. You must believe that Jesus was put on the cross to pay your penalty for your sins. And You must confess your allegiance to His team not on your terms and conditions, but on God’s.

“I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire so that you may be rich, white clothes so that you may be dressed and your shameful nakedness not be exposed, and ointment to spread on your eyes so that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent. Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me.”
Revelation 3:18-20 HCSB

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 HCSB
