“And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does God’s will remains forever.” 1 John 2:17 HCSB
We will die or live by our passions! If we have a passion to live for the lust of the world we will perish along with it. But if we have a passion to live in God’s will we will remain forever. The passions of the world are just fleeting and temporary, but God is eternal. Which one will we pursue?

What is the difference between passion and zeal?
According to google’s dictionary passion is a strong and barely controllable emotion. And zeal is a great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of a cause or an objective. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of one's lifestyle are passions while the things that belong to God are a zeal. Passions are lived out in the moment while zeal is a deep heartfelt energy and enthusiasm.
The passions of the world are passing away while those who have a Godly zeal will remain forever.
