“Be in agreement with one another. Do not be proud; instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation.” Romans 12:16 HCSB
Be in agreement with one another. To agree or not to agree? Well, to stay in line with God we would all have to agree on a few things.
-Jesus is the only way to God.
-The Bible is the inspirited true word of God and no other book can stand up to or against the Bible.
-God the Father, God to the Son Jesus, and God the Spirit the Holy Spirit are always in agreement.
So if we disagree on any of these points one of us must change. If we disagree on anything and the Bible is clear on it one of us must change. If we disagree on a subject and the Bible is silent then we must seek God and be humble enough to submit to God’s direction and come to an agreement. So to disagree would be to either not stand on what the Bible has to say or to stand opposed to God and what He has said. So to disagree really for a long time would not be good for any believer. But for a short time until we learn the truth is beneficial to us so that we may conform our will to the will of God.
“I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by Your name that You have given Me, so that they may be one as We are one.”

Do not be proud.
Pride is what has blinded Satan all these years. He tried to take God’s throne because He felt he should be there and not God. Satan being a created eternal being could never hold the privilege of being God. Pride in our own lives does the same thing. It lifts us beyond what we are capable of which will cause us to fall farther than we are comfortable doing. But Humility will cause us to be fallen down to the exact right spot in our eyes before God so that He may lift us up beyond our own estimation.
If God does the promoting then we never have to worry about falling. But if we are promoting then we are always worried about falling.
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time,”

“But He looked at them and said, “Then what is the meaning of this Scripture: The stone that the builders rejected — this has become the cornerstone? Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, and if it falls on anyone, it will grind him to powder! ””

“Just one thing: Live your life in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, working side by side for the faith that comes from the gospel,”

Agreement in the body of Christ is crucial! Too long we have let the name above the door of our church dictate how we are to live for God, but now is the time we let the Name above all names dictate how we live for Him. The name above our church will not save us, but Jesus the Name above all names is our Savior. We must discover who we are in Him and how he wants us to live!
“He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death — even to death on a cross. For this reason God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow — of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth — and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
