We will get into the Gospel in verses 3-5 but Today I want to focus on the three responses of the Gospel, The three things we must do with the gospel.

First, we must receive it. We have to accept it to be true and then we must declare it into our lives. 

“If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.”

Second, we must take our stand on it. If we do not stand on it we will follow the world who wants to believe the Jesus was just a man like us. 

“Therefore the Lord God said: “Look, I have laid a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will be unshakable. And I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the mason’s level.” Hail will sweep away the false refuge, and water will flood your hiding place.”

Last, of all, we must proclaim it. We must go out and tell the world that Jesus is who the bible says He is. We do this by several methods. First, our life must portray Jesus or they will never want to hear us talk about Jesus. Second, We must speak the word of God with boldness that Jesus is alive. Third, We must tell what we were like before Jesus and How we came to find Him as our Lord and Savior. And Last, of all, we must be willing to stand on it when life gets messy. because the world is watching us to see if what we say is real.

We must live the gospel before we speak the gospel. The more the world notices the difference between our old self and the new creation the more they will listen to our words.

“But how can they call on Him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things!”

The Word of God is #1 living!

​ I want to take the next 4 to 6 posts in BQTT to dwell on what “the word of God is”. The Word of God is #1 living! In our hands, we do not hold some dusty old relic of some 35 to 40 authors. But a living book written by God through the hands of many different people over 1,000’s of years. Have you ever been reading a normal book and a few words jump off the page to say, “Hey, read me again.”? I bet there have been very few times this has happened, but now, how often have the words written in the Bible done that for you? If you spend any amount of time reading the Bible I would say it has happened more than the normal literature.  Last night I was lying down and a verse reference popped into my head.
