“Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:15‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

Brother, I feel your pain. I feel your joy. I feel your hurt. I feel your relief. I am here for you. Now let me in.

How many of us have been one of these two people, either the one hurting or the one feeling the hurt? We may not have gone through the same thing, but we can relate. If we can’t then we must tap into God who has.

No way, God has never experienced this kind of rejection! Yes, he has and more. You know those first two people in the garden of Eden? Yea, Adam and Eve. They rejected God by disobeying one of God’s three commands. Command 1, be fruitful, and multiply on the earth. Kept! Command 2 eat of any tree in the garden. Kept! Do not eat from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Not kept! And by doing so they rejected God as god and replaced him with the serpent. The only two people who God had made just rejected Him and cursed every generation after.

Well, But God has never lost someone like I lost my ___________? Yes, he has. He lost His Son Jesus for three days. Not because He was hidden on the earth from Him, but because God could not be in the presence of all the sin that was placed on Jesus’ shoulders because of every person from Adam and Eve until the last person to sin before He steps on His throne to rein permanently after His seven-year reign.

You fill in the blank and God has experienced it through Jesus. And Jesus learned obedience through his suffering here on this earth.

“Though He was God’s Son, He learned obedience through what He suffered. After He was perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him,”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭5:8-9‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

And no matter what we face whether good or bad, there is someone within our top 10 friends who have faced what we face. We are not called to face this alone but within the Body of God. Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.
