“The first man was from the earth and made of dust; the second man is from heaven.” 1 Corinthians 15:47 HCSB
The first man was Adam. He was created by God on the sixth day in the likeness of God. God also created all the land-dwelling animals. Adam was formed out of the dust of the ground and God-breathed His breath into Adam’s lungs and Adam became a living being. Also on the sixth day, God formed Eve out of Adam’s rib because among the animals not one was suitable for a companion for Adam. And then sometime after the 7th day Adam and his wife decided that becoming “like God” was more pleasing than obeying God. So they sinned and were kicked out of the Garden of Eden and had to begin to work for their food. (Genesis 1:26 - 3:24)
The second man was born from a virgin because He has to be born of God and not of an earthly father. So that He could be not born with His father’s sins, but with His father’s glory. He was the son of God and walked the perfect life and became the first of many brothers in God. He was the only one born of God the rest of us are adopted back into God’s family.
Adam was the only other who lived a perfect few days in the Garden, but He removed himself from God’s family by eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. While still trying to serve God from an enemy's family His kids and every generation after him had to serve God while in another’s family. But Jesus has reconciled to His Father all those who will decide to obey God is better than trying to “be like” God. And he will bring them into His family finally at his second coming. And will punish all those who are deceived and will not serve God.
