“After taking them in His arms, He laid His hands on them and blessed them.” Mark 10:16 HCSB
The touch of Jesus. These parents finally got their kids to Jesus and He touched them and blessed them. In a society where touching is almost done away with, the touch of Jesus is still needed, and also the touch of others is needed. One of the five love languages is touch. Whether it be a hug or a hand on your shoulder or a helping hand to pick you up off the floor the touch of another person is needed from time to time. But the touch of Jesus goes beyond all this. He is the only one who can comfort us when no one else can. He is the only one to bring confidence back into our lives when the whole world is against us. He is the only one who can pick us up off the floors of life when we have nowhere else to turn. The touch of Jesus is still needed.
Not only is it needed but Jesus is still on the job of touch our lives. He is still working miracles in our lives. He is still healing, fixing, and working it all out. Some of these parents may have brought their kids to Jesus so that He may heal them of diseases that have not happened yet. Maybe the parents have just got a bad report from the doctors and they are scared so they have brought their kids to Jesus to heal their kids so that they don’t have the same stuff that they have. Instead , should they have been the one to say, “Lord Jesus touch me”?
It is all well and good for Jesus to touch the kids and bless them, but He is looking to the parents and saying, “I can touch you to and bless you, for you are my child also.”
What are some ways that Jesus touch impacted the lives of those around Him?
