“Listen! We are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn Him to death. Then they will hand Him over to the Gentiles, and they will mock Him, spit on Him, flog Him, and kill Him, and He will rise after three days.” Mark 10:33-34 HCSB
“Sacrifice to Yahweh your God a Passover animal from the herd or flock in the place where the Lord chooses to have His name dwell.
You are not to sacrifice the Passover animal in any of the towns the Lord your God is giving you. You must only sacrifice the Passover animal at the place where Yahweh your God chooses to have His name dwell. Do this in the evening as the sun sets at the same time of day you departed from Egypt.”

“Yet I must travel today, tomorrow, and the next day, because it is not possible for a prophet to perish outside of Jerusalem!”

So Jesus had to travel to Jerusalem but this trip is different. Jesus knew what was going to take place and He is very open with His disciples. He knows earthly how it was going to pan out. But up until resurrection Sunday by late afternoon, the disciples still had no clue.
“Early on the first day of the week, after He had risen, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had driven seven demons. She went and reported to those who had been with Him, as they were mourning and weeping. Yet, when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe it. Then after this, He appeared in a different form to two of them walking on their way into the country. And they went and reported it to the rest, who did not believe them either. Later, He appeared to the Eleven themselves as they were reclining at the table. He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw Him after He had been resurrected.”

But the Chief priests had a clue that something was going to happen on the third day, and they tried to stop it but could not.
“The next day, which followed the preparation day, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered before Pilate and said, “Sir, we remember that while this deceiver was still alive He said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’ Therefore give orders that the tomb be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, His disciples may come, steal Him, and tell the people, ‘He has been raised from the dead.’ Then the last deception will be worse than the first.” “You have a guard of soldiers,” Pilate told them. “Go and make it as secure as you know how.” Then they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting the guard.”

“After the Sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to view the tomb. Suddenly there was a violent earthquake, because an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and approached the tomb. He rolled back the stone and was sitting on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his robe was as white as snow. The guards were so shaken from fear of him that they became like dead men.”

Those who followed Jesus had no clue but reaped the reward and those who tried to stop Jesus could not despite their best efforts. The same applies today. Except for today, we have the Holy Spirit who can move us inline with what God is up to, while the world still has no clue and cannot stop the move of God. While the world is shutting down and small businesses are being forced to close doors, the Churches that remain steadfast in Jesus are experiencing greater rewards. God is still in control and the world cannot stop His plan. The question remains will we fall in behind Jesus and believe or will we be afraid and run away?
